Best Carpet Cleaning has long held the standard for Omaha rug cleaning.

  1. Pre-Inspection

We will perform a complete inspection of the rug to determine the type of fiber, any damage or spots that may need repaired or removed and determine the best cleaning method for each rug

  1. Dry Soil Removal

We use a variety of techniques to “dust” the rugs from the front and back to remove the dry particulate soils. A machine called the “Rug Badger”, and any many other methods are used. This is the most important step in cleaning any rug.

  1. Pre-Condition

Depending on fiber content and soiling type, the rug will be pre-treated to emulsify the soils. We use products designed specifically for each fiber. For wool rugs we use only “Wool Safe” approved products.

  1. Pre-Spot and Fringe Preparation

Any potentially difficult spots will be pre-treated with special solutions to increase chances of removal. The fringe is also pre-treated for maximum soil removal.

  1. Rinse or Wash

Depending on the type of rug it will be rinsed with extraction equipment on both sides or washed in a wash pit designed especially for Oriental Rugs.

  1. Speed Dry

Once the soil is rinsed away, the rug is dried flat or hung to dry in a controlled environment. Proper drying is essential to avoid unnatural shrinkage.

  1. Finishing

When the rug is dry, it is groomed and finished with soft groomers made for specialty rugs.

  1. Post Inspection

Our cleaning specialist will give the rug a final inspection. Your rug will be wrapped in brown craft paper to protect it from dust and environmental soils until it is picked up or delivered.
